Float Description: The float featured a flaming chalice surrounded by an 8-foot natural wreath (wood frame encircled with chicken wire and covered with evergreen clippings (scraps from tree trimming) collected from a local tree dealer. The wreath was lit with white Xmas Tree lights, and adorned with gold cut-outs representing many faith traditions (and one non-faith)
- Christianity - Cross
- Judaism - Star of David
- Islam - Crescent and Star
- Hinduism - Om
- Buddhism - Dharma Wheel
- Daoism - Yin-Yang
- Pagan - Triple Moon (represents Maiden, Mother and Crone aspects of the Goddess)

The wreath has a large 3-D Rainbow bow on each side.
The chalice contains orange lights and a fan to make the artificial flame burn.

Greenville Parade Web Footage
The Greenville Jaycees Christmas Parade can be viewed online at WITN-TV's website.
The footage is almost an hour and a half... our float is at approximately the 24:00 time increment, but the viewer will not allow you to skip ahead to that point. The resolution is low and they didn't ever get a really good shot of the float anyway.

More pictures to come... If you have more pictures from any of the parades, please send them to webmaster@uugreenvillenc.org!
Many thanks go out to Jennifer Barr for proposing the idea and heading up the float building effort! Our thanks also go out to all those individuals who helped design, build, transport, or ride on the float!
